      denkmal 2020: A Wealth of Cultural Heritage in an Exhibition and Conference Programme – This year's denkmal will take place as planned from 5 to 7 November 2020 at the Leipzig Trade Fair. In spite of the ongoing corona pandemic, the industry is very enthusiastic. Many national and international exhibitors have registered and the conference programme features high-calibre events covering a wide range of topics from the fields of monument preservation and restoration. A hygiene concept has been tailored especially for denkmal to ensure the health and safety of all those involved.

      MUTEC 2020: Innovative Exhibitors, Strong Partners and Expert Conference Programme – The international trade fair for museum and exhibition technology MUTEC will take place as planned from 5 to 7 November 2020 in Leipzig. Once again this year, it will offer a wide range of exhibitions and conference programmes. Innovative companies will present their products and services, and there are four exciting themed modules in the MUTEC Forum. Furthermore, there will be many expert events that examine current challenges facing the museum industry in greater depth. The Leipziger Messe Hygiene Concept ensures the health and safety of everyone involved during the corona pandemic.

      Leipzig Book Fair will take place from 27 - 30 May 2021 – The Leipzig Book Fair is held together with the reading festival "Leipzig liest", the Manga Comic-Con and the Antiquarian Book Fair next year from 27 to 30 May at the fairgrounds of the Leipziger Messe. The Leipziger Messe has reached this decision in consultation with the Advisory Board of the Leipzig Book Fair.

      High-tech Rehabilitation: TAR Conference Expands digital OTWorld.connect – "Target Muscle Reinnervation (TMR)", "Bionic Hand", "Cortical Visual Neuropros-thesis": The 7th European TAR Conference (Technically Assisted Rehabilitation) on 28 and 29 October 2020 will focus on technical progress in rehabilitation. For the first time, this European forum will take place parallel to the OTWorld.connect congress (27 to 29 October) and also exclusively online. The conference, which will be held in English, will focus on the discussion and presentation of the latest technical innovations and assistive technologies in modern rehabilitation. The online format connects a worldwide community of experts in the exchange of information on prostheses and orthoses, functional electrostimulation, neurotechnology, assistive technical systems and rehabilitation robotics.

      Beacons of Knowledge: High-profile Online Congress Programme at OTWorld.connect – Interactive, Interdisciplinary, International: OTWorld.connect online-congress from 27 to 29 October 2020 will focus on the high-quality supply of medical aids – and will do so with a global perspective. Worldwide landmark projects, such as a successful supply network for arm prosthetics from the USA, will be featured. From osseointegration to trends in prosthetics research, major symposia and renowned keynote speakers, in-cluding Prof Michael Goldfarb from the USA, will focus on the hottest topics in the industry. The programme will be supplemented by industry policy podiums, poster sessions, courses and workshop discussions. All events of the bilingual congress will be broadcasted exclusively online.

      Globally Networked: OTWorld.connect 2020 will be held exclusively online from 27 to 29 October – The OTWorld.connect 2020 trade show and world congress will be held online from 27 to 29 October. After intensive discussions with representatives of the exhibitor advisory board and the programme committee, the German Association of Orthopaedic Technology (BIV-OT) as the conceptual sponsor and Leipziger Messe as the organiser have jointly decided today to hold OTWorld.connect from 27 - 29 October 2020 exclusively as a digital event.

      CosmeticBusiness 2020 in Munich will not take place – Over the past several days, a multitude of exhibitors have cancelled their trade show appearances. Because of this, the organiser, Leipziger Messe, has decided not to hold the CosmeticBusiness 2020 in MOC Munich from 30 September to 1 October as previously planned.

      CosmeticBusiness 2020 will take place - visitor survey results: Majority of respondents plan on participating in the trade show – The Bavarian State Government decided that, under specific conditions, trade shows may be once again held starting 1 September 2020. Leipziger Messe has now started the next phase of preparation for CosmeticBusiness 2020, which will take place at the MOC Munich from 30 September to 1 October. A hygiene concept was developed for the international trade show of the cosmetics supplying industry. A recently conducted representative visitor survey revealed that the majority of those questioned are planning to participate in CosmeticBusiness 2020.

      The Music Experience Trade Fair musicpark Postponed until June 2021 – musicpark will permanently move to June and will take place parallel to the Leipzig Bachfest with an adapted daily schedule from Saturday through Monday from 12 to 14 June 2021. The music experience fair will therefore not be held as planned from 6 to 8 November 2020.

      Process Optimisation in Hospitals - Innovative and Practice-Oriented Solutions – As a congress and trade fair, med.Logistica is dedicated exclusively and comprehensively to hospital process optimisation. Every other year in Leipzig, leading clinic experts have the opportunity to obtain valuable information and advice on the most important specialist issues. Last year med.Logistica once again closed with record results. Hospital logistics experts from Germany, Austria and Switzerland have created a unique and very special forum at the event. Consequently, 97 per cent of the participants are planning to return in 2021. The event will therefore be moved from the Congress Center to the Leipziger Messe halls in order to meet increased capacity. The Call for Papers and the submissions for the Leipzig Innovation Prize for Hospital Logistics is now open.
