A cosmopolitan outlook: An orientation and tradition
Leipzig connects trade, trade connects Leipzig. Thanks to open-mindedness, tolerance and dialogue, the city, trade and the trade fair have grown in size. We have stood for these values for more than 850 years. We are committed to a world based on humanism. We reject all forms of racism, the exclusion of minorities and violence. Our trade fairs, congresses and events are communication and interaction hotspots. They are cosmopolitan, international and intercultural. We offer our visitors, exhibitors and partners platforms to talk to each other, exchange opinions as well as initiate and conclude business deals.
Our actions are based on the German Constitution. Guaranteeing freedom of expression and variety of opinion is part of what we understand as democratic values. Even if opposing opinions are sometimes painful, a democracy can and must endure them. For us at Leipziger Messe, reasonable discourse is important. At the same time, we are firmly opposed to any form of extremism, racism and harassment.
These values and attitudes inspire our daily actions. In the Leipziger Messe team, colleagues from different cultures work together and contribute to our success with their knowledge and experience. Tolerance and an open-minded attitude towards the world are for us as an internationally active group of companies important foundations for cooperation with our partners and customers from all over the world.
The values and attitudes that our city and our trade fair have lived by for centuries will also serve as an orientation for the future. We want to share these with you, our visitors, exhibitors and partners, and look forward to future projects and events.
