Art in the atrium: Leipziger Messe as an exhibition platform
Leipziger Messe has offered artists a temporary exhibition platform since 2011, and thus is able to connect art, architecture and the trade fair business at a high aesthetic standard. At the same time, the company establishes a bridge from industry to the world of art with visiting exhibitions in the atrium of the trade fair building.
Currently: Exhibition "Phantasmagorien" by Elisabeth Howey
The "Phantasmagorien" exhibition by Leipzig-based artist Elisabeth Howey converts the atrium of Leipziger Messe into a location full of evocative structures. Using a surreal-inspired stylistic language, the artist combines the familiar with the allure of the foreign, whereby her paintings and sculptures support the dialogue between dream and reality.
These extraordinary works of art can be viewed at the “Phantasmagorien” exhibition in the atrium until 13 November 2017.
