CosmeticBusiness Poland continued its successful development
CosmeticBusiness Poland continued growing in Warsaw with its third event on 26 and 27 September 2018. This year, in conjunction with HPCI - Home and Personal Care Ingredients Exhibition and Conference, the trade fair used the entire Hall 4 of the EXPO XXI Exhibition Centre for the first time. Around 280 exhibitors and represented companies presented their new innovations and solutions for the development, production and packaging of cosmetic and cleaning products on an exhibition space larger than that of the preceding trade fair. The exhibitors praised the visitors’ excellent professional quality.
"Over the past two years, CosmeticBusiness Poland, in conjunction with HPCI, has become the most important meeting place for the Polish cosmetics industry and its suppliers. This year we succeeded in expanding the trade fair even further and offered visitors a wider range of products, which was well received," says Markus Geisenberger, Chief Executive Officer of Leipziger Messe. "The trade fair’s popularity among exhibitors and visitors shows that the Polish market needs an industry platform for the cosmetics supplying industry. In the future, we would like to strengthen our status as the leading think tank for cosmetic product development in Poland and Eastern Europe."
Expanded exhibition space and several new exhibitors
Together with HPCI, CosmeticBusiness Poland's exhibition offer included raw materials, manufacturing, packaging and services. In the exhibition space in Hall 4 of the EXPO XXI Exhibition Centre, which was extended from last year, around 280 exhibitors and represented companies showcased their services.
Once again, the event demonstrated its international appeal - 46 per cent of the exhibitors came from abroad. Germany, France and Great Britain had - after Poland - the most exhibitors. All in all, the trade fair combination welcomed exhibitors from 32 countries.
Furthermore, the numerous new exhibitors influenced this year’s trade fair. These included the raw material suppliers BASF and Ascot in the HPCI exhibition area, the German folding box producer Edelmann in the packaging area, the packaging manufacturers Quadpack from Spain and Polpak from Poland, and the finishing specialists Altus from France and Katarzynki from Poland. New contract manufacturers and private label producers also added to the product range. The German manufacturer Szaidel Cosmetic, the Polish producer Glancos and the UV gel specialist Kulzer made their first appearance.
High professional quality of the trade visitors was convincing
The range of suppliers at the trade fair, which was specially designed for the cosmetics and detergent industry, was once again greatly admired by many decision-makers in the industry. This year, more visitors from management, development and purchasing attended the trade fair.
The exhibitors praised the high professional quality of the trade visitors. "We were first-time exhibitors at CosmeticBusiness Poland and were positively surprised by the visitors’ reaction, especially by the diversity and quality of the trade visitors. Our main goal, to talk with visitors and exhibitors and to present Primera as a manufacturer of printing solutions for POS applications as well as for on-demand label printing in the cosmetics industry, has been achieved”, says Christine Höhn, Sales Supervisor EMEA at Primera Europe.
Once again CosmeticBusiness Poland attracted Polish experts in particular - 85 per cent of the visitors were from Poland. This year's trade fair was also a great international event: Trade visitors from 27 countries - such as Ukraine, Lithuania and the Czech Republic - attended the event.
Conference programme very well received, Distributors Lounge added value
"Another distinguishing feature was the wide ranging conference programme. The lectures and workshops drew a lot of visitors on both days. This gave participants the opportunity to exchange detailed information regarding future trends and current industry topics," reports Project Director Ivonne Simons.
On the first day of the trade fair, for example, the Carlin Creative Trend Bureau gave a lecture called "Trend drivers 2020 - Strategic and creative cross-inspiration" about trends drivers' influence on the development of new cosmetic products. New innovative ingredients were presented in technical seminars and legal regulations were discussed at the HPCI Scientific Conference.
Aniflex's PACKAGING [R]EVOLUTION presentation series took place on 27 September. Experts presented solutions for design, printing and packaging refinement and provided information on new developments in the cosmetics packaging world.
One addition was the Distributors Lounge, which celebrated its debut at CosmeticBusiness Poland this year. The new service supports cosmetic brands that are looking for suitable distributors to act as sales partners. Innovative Polish brands, in particular, showed great interest in the new matchmaking service.
The next CosmeticBusiness Poland will be held from 25 to 26 September 2019 at the EXPO XXI Exhibition Centre in Warsaw.
