Focus on Sustainability: CosmeticBusiness 2019 presents new thematic routes
The time has come: The 15th edition of CosmeticBusiness will take place in Munich at the MOC in three weeks' time. From 5 to 6 June, more than 400 ex-hibitors will present all the products necessary for the successful develop-ment of cosmetic products. At CosmeticBusiness, trade visitors can meet suppliers from all sectors of the value chain, with everything from active in-gredients and new formulations to innovative production and packaging solu-tions. This year, sustainability is one of the focal points at both the exhibition and the accompanying conference programme.
"In 2019, CosmeticBusiness continues its success story: five months before the trade fair started CosmeticBusiness was already fully booked even though the exhi-bition space had been expanded. In all four halls of the MOC in Munich more than 449 exhibitors and companies are presenting. About 75 of those are new exhibitors and 43 per cent present are from abroad. Companies from 22 countries have regis-tered. Most international exhibitors are from France, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands and Switzerland. CosmeticBusiness has thus consolidated its status as the most important meeting place for the cosmetics industry and its suppliers in German-speaking countries," states Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director of Leipziger Messe.
New: Theme Routes for Improved Orientation
Theme routes have been created to give sustainability and innovation more space on the industry platform as well as to make it easier for visitors to find their way around the halls.
Around 60 per cent of visitors to CosmeticBusiness are looking specifically for eco-logical and sustainable products and services. This is why the "Green Route" is premièring in 2019. Exhibitors who offer products or services that help the customer operate in an even more sustainable, resource-saving or environmentally friendly way will be participating here. This could involve, for example, the use of renewable raw materials, waste reduction or increased energy efficiency.
The "Innovation Route" features exhibitors who are presenting new products at the SPOTLIGHT special exhibition. The special exhibition and the route will focus on innovative products that were launched no more than six months ago as of their CosmeticBusiness presentation date.
Particularly exclusive solutions can be found on the "Premium Route." Visitors can use the online exhibitor directory and the on-site trade fair guide to track the recom-mended topics.
Colour Cosmetics Exhibition Grows
Decorative cosmetics are increasingly in demand at CosmeticBusiness: in 2018, one in five visitors said they were looking for decorative cosmetics solutions at the trade fair (2017: 13 per cent). The Colour Cosmetics exhibition area, which was created last year, proved very popular.
In 2019 there will be even more suppliers presenting their Colour Cosmetics range in Hall 1. Two newcomers are, for example, the Italian private label specialist Gi Picco's and the packaging manufacturer MKTG Industry. The French brush and packaging supplier Cosmogen will be presenting their products for the first time. Plus Toly from Malta returns to CosmeticBusiness.
The Distributors Lounge with Matchmaking Sessions Continues
The Distributors Lounge, which will continue this year, had a successful première at the last trade fair. Matchmaking sessions for cosmetic brand suppliers and distribu-tors are scheduled for 6 June. These services make the trade fair even more valua-ble for cosmetic companies looking for sales partners in German-speaking countries. Interested brands and distributors should register quickly in order to make timely appointments.
Cosmetics Industry Trends at the Conference programme
As part of its conference programme, CosmeticBusiness offers trend lectures. These highlight colour and material trends that are driving the beauty sector and the regional and global trends that are inspiring the cosmetics sector in general and the colour cosmetics sector in particular. Furthermore, the Paris-based Carlin Creative Trend Bureau will organise trend workshops on both trade fair days called "How trends can impact my decisions on colour: brand, packaging, product". You can find further information about the conference programme on the homepage:
