Positive signs for the second edition of the Trade Fair Dangerous Goods & Dangerous Materials in Leipzig
The Trade Fair Dangerous Goods & Dangerous Materials will have its next edition at Leipziger Messe from 9 to 11 April 2019. Demand for the second edition in the European industry platform is high. The number of registrations for rental exhibition space at the trade show is already well above last year's and it is still four months before the start of the second edition. An interesting exhibitor’s line-up is going to be at the Trade Fair Dangerous Goods & Dangerous Materials in April next year. This, together with the high-quality conference programme, promises an informative trade show event for logistics decision-makers and all those responsible for security.
"The preparations for the second edition of the Trade Fair Dangerous Goods & Dangerous Materials are well underway. We are very satisfied with the registration status. In addition to the many repeat participants, we are pleased to welcome some interesting new exhibitors from every product sector," says Matthias Kober, Project Director of the Trade Fair Dangerous Goods & Dangerous Materials.
In April 2019, the exhibition will not be held in the Congress Center Leipzig (CCL) like the first time, but in hall 2 at Leipziger Messe. The exhibitors will present a wide range of solutions, products and services for the transport of hazardous goods, the internal logistics for hazardous substances and maximum safety in handling highly sensitive goods and substances.
Market leaders and new exhibitors in every product sector
Not only does a quantitatively increased exhibition space await trade visitors, but also market leaders from every sector of the trade fair. To date, the planned market leaders include Dachser, Finsterwalder as well as Rhenus & Hellmann (transport and logistics services), Becker Umweltdienste and REMONDIS Industrie Service (waste management), Dräger Safety and Stöbich Brandschutz (safety), Linde Material Handling and Protectoplus (intralogistics), Richter & heß, Söhner Kunststofftechnik and Schweizer Müller AG (packaging), Rainer Ladungssicherungstechnik and Zurrpack (load securing) as well as TÜV SÜD and TÜV Rheinland.
Premiere of the "European Dangerous Goods Day“
The "European Dangerous Goods Day" will be held for the first time on 10 and 11 April 2019 - in cooperation with the European Association of dangerous goods Safety Advisers (EASA) - as part of the trade fair. Over two half days, experts will have the opportunity to be part of a new knowledge platform, which channels current expertise under the motto "Dangerous goods make the world go round" and guarantees excellent networking opportunities. During the event, legal requirements and regulations will be discussed along with specific security issues.
Internationally renowned speakers explain the status quo in their lectures in English and dare to think outside the box. Prof Dr Norbert Müller, Global Dangerous Goods Coordinator at Schenker AG and former President of EASA, will for example address the topic of "Dangerous Goods Regulations: amendments year 2019/2021 focus lithium batteries".
Recently founded trade fair advisory board involved in continuing development of the trade fair
This second edition in the coming year will focus on the further development of the Trade Fair Dangerous Goods & Dangerous Materials. The Leipziger Messe management is supported by the recently founded trade fair advisory board. Competent representatives from market-leading companies in the various product areas and from the EASA and the German dangerous goods industry federation Gefahrgutverband Deutschland (GGVD) are members of this advisory body.
